Dress The Girl

Last week on Monday we started using Scratch and I made this.

What I enjoyed the most was choosing her clothes.

What I found easy was choosing the background.  

What I found hard was adding code

Yesterday we painted our pallet gardens.

What I enjoyed the most was painting the gold parts.

What I found it was challenging to work with my group.

Next time we will use more colour.

Green Team Play

Green Team Play 

Hi everyone,

Last Monday the Green Team came and tort us about the environment and how they did that is they did a play and in the play, they did a play because they were assigned by there teacher Mr Swan and they were tould to do it on the environment so they based it on Cinderra and it was amazing because the bad guy was the prince and his name was Reece like recycle but instead of recycling it he dumped it in the drains. 

Athletics Day

Hi everyone,

On Monday was Athletics day and we did sprints and long disdains running. I got 4th two times 

And 2nd once and 3rd once but I was proud of my self because I  did my best. I hope next time I do better but this is good enough for me.

 What I enjoyed the most was at the end after lunch we did fun things like, sack racing, three-legged race and frisbee throwing.

We have been doing a reading activity.

I enjoyed drawing my tree.

I found it challenging to color the sun.

My digital learning object shows a tree made out of concrete and a car with box wheels.

Next time I would draw my car and its wheels.

Media

We have been learning about different kinds of media.  

The media I like using to learn new information is Youtube because it has how-to videos...

What I enjoyed was making my parrot because my friends Malia & Riley helped me.

I found it challenging to draw my tree.

My digital learning object shows a parrot flying to my coconut tree.

Next time I would change my background.

Ocean girls

                   Hi everyone, 

Yesterday was production I was an ocean girl. What I enjoyed was the makeup and a lady came could Emma and she was amazing. What I found challenging was not laughing but I managed. Next time I will smile in the photo.

On Friday illustrator Bruce Potter came to Makaraka School to talk to the school and he drew a funny animal but we couldn't decide on a name for it I thought it was hilarious it had an elephants head a apes front and a tiger's back.

Polyline faces

Hi today we made polyline faces using a portrait of ourselves and shapes and lines on slides first we did the shape of the slide and then we made shapes and colored them and slides helped a lot but the girl who we got the idea from one of her blog posts didn't use slide she used Google drawings. And this is what we got I enjoyed that taking a photo of myself. I found the shapes challenging to find the right shape and next time I will try a little harder like I do every thankyou looking at my blog bye.

Production Whale

Hi everyone,

Today every girl in our class helped to make the whale for
our class saw in the whole school production.
What I enjoyed was sticking the plastic on and using
the hot glue gun but I kept burning myself
that's what I found challenging.

 Next time I will do better gluing and not getting burnt as
many times and today I reached my goal.

My animation

Hi,
We are learning how to create animations using google slides.
I enjoyed making the people and everything else but it was challenging to make the swing and the effects of the moon growing.
Next time I will make more slides and give it more detail.

School Cross-Country

Cross-Country

Hi everyone,🙌

Today is cross-country and it is raining which makes it way more fun because we get to slide down the hill but I have asthma which makes running hard but I can do it. I am excited about getting to the end of cross-country. What I am scared of is slipping over. My goals are to try my best and not stop running. Hi, yesterday was cross-country I got 17th and I only stopped 4 times when I normally stop 7 times. At my last school cross-country, I came last so I got better this time.

Christabel was away she is Anna's partner but Anna did amazing. Our next steps are to make

Purr-fect Science

Hi this is from the Science Fair and me and my friend Cass did it on Does a Cats Purring slow your heart beet. What I enjoyed was our team work but what I found challenging was being free to go to each other's houses but we got it gone in the nick of time.

What I found challenging was ting the flax because it would always undo.

Why are we losing more lives?

  Hi,

 At the end of term 2 it was the science fair and I did a poster on Wretched Roads. It took me a while to come up with the name but I finally found one. What gave me the idea was Napier Road because it is so mucked up and dangerous. One of the problems was that people are not fixing the roads properly and are not taking care. By Libby
