Kei te aha koe?

Hi everyone,
This week is Maori language week and this is what we did to celebrate. I enjoyed working with my friend Baely (this is her blog: Baely's blog). What I found hard was not being able to share it so baely & I had to make two identical ones. I hope you like what we have created for Maori language week.

Martin Luther King

Hi everyone,
We are approaching speech week and we have been working on the fearrr model. We had to highlight where the fearrr model is used in Martin Luther King I have a dream. This is what I thought. What I found hard was the blue which stands for Facts & opinions. What I enjoyed was working with my mum on it.

Is math the same?

Hi everyone, over the past weeks in lockdown we have been doing math and this is what we have been doing. Doing the tasks here are sometimes hard because Mrs. Hall isn't here to help me but my mum is here and she has been helping me and Mrs. Hall has video chats that we join so we can ask questions and see all our friends. What I have enjoyed about this is my mum is always there if I need her. I am still wounding if we will get to do math grids( P.S. I have been practicing).

Tiny is Best

Hi everyone,
Over the past week in lockdown😢, my mum and I have been making a tiny garden room that we started at the start of the year. We got some more done but we are not nearing the finish yet.  I enjoyed being with my mum and the satisfaction of getting something right. I am wondering if we will ever finish it but I know I had fun doing it. I learned 1 that you should be patient with things and read the instructions and 2 stay calm when it doesn't go right. Last but not least 3 Keep a positive attitude towards yourself and others. These are some of the things we made and a quote by Henry Ford.

It's time for music!

Hi everyone,

Today we went to the museum. Our teacher's name was Koka Ora and she was super cool. We learned about the hue and some super cool traditional Maori instruments. They are made from all-natural materials like wood, flax & pawa. What I enjoyed was getting to make the purerehua which was one of the instruments that we saw & we got to make our own. I am still wondering about how they make the sound they make maybe, it's the vibrations.

A river being a person! WHAT??!

Hi everyone,
About a week ago we went to the wild lab and learned about the mayfly did you know that they are nearly endangered. So a couple of days ago we made possessive arguments about why the Wimata River should be a person. I enjoyed sharing my thoughts and writing what I think.

Vege car

Hi everyone,
In the past week, we have been reading about a vege car this is my question mark which tells you about the story I learned that a car can run on biofuel and fish and chips oil. I enjoyed learning about this subject because it gave us a hint on what we are going to be doing with the bottles Mrs Hall is telling us to bring into class.
